The first time Mitchell Weege got written up in the local paper was in 10th grade when he sank 13 points, off the bench, including a clutch buzzer-beater, to help Elk River beat a good Edina team. “I remember Porter had about 20 points and I got more of a write-up than he did, so I had some fun with that,” Weege chuckled, referring his good friend Porter Morrell.
