Kaleidoscope Charter School in Otsego opened its doors Oct. 25 for families to experience the works of Mexican muralist, Diego Rivera. Rivera was a recorder of Mexican history. He had a larger-than-life personality and controversial views. On display were student-made replicas of Rivera’s work, as well as a traveling exhibit. More than 40 students volunteered to become docents. These student guides, like Katie Buhl and Kaitlin Post in the picture to the right, elaborated upon Rivera’s paintings and Mexican culture. Of particular interest was the Day of the Dead. Families enjoyed Day of the Dead bread while they toured the exhibit.
