A crash on Interstate 94 near Rogers that backed up traffic on Highway 101 for hours killed one person, whose vehicle was pushed into parked construction equipment, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The Elk River Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 9:40 p.m. on Nov. 16 in the 1400 block of Main Street in Elk River. A detached garage was fully engulfed. All occupants were able to safely evacuate the structure. The cause remains under investigation. Mutual aid assistance was received from Big Lake and Zimmerman.
