The close of the candidacy filing period for Otsego City Council brought a total of four people to the running for two four-year terms. Challengers Patrick Brink and Paul Bolin will run against incumbents Vern Heidner and Tom Darkenwald in the Nov. 4 election. The newly elected officials take office early in 2015.
