Susie M. Lakoduk, age 87 of Elk River, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 18, 2013.

Preceded in death by her husband Harry R., grandson Robert Francis Tenney; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survived by her children; Joyce (Ed) Burk, Sandra (Gary) Burk, Myron (Veronica), Harold, David, Duane (Trang) and Cynthia (Steven) Tenney. 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Arnold (Loretta) Fandrich and sister Violet Samuelson and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1506 Main St. NW Elk River. Visitation 4-7 p.m., Monday, May 6th, 2013, at Dare’s Funeral Home 805 Main St. NW Elk River and 1 hour prior to services at church on Tuesday. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to CAER Food Shelf of Elk River.

A 4-mile run/walk that is held in honor of Jacob Van Hoever who died in a car accident in 2001, at the age of 13. A Meat Raffle to Benefit the Jim LaFond Family.
The NW-Hennepin Knights of Columbus & the St. Michael Knights of Columbus are hosting a Meat Raffle on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 1:30 – 5 p.m. at Ditto’s Bar in St. Michael.
On March 25, 2013, Jim suffered a stroke and is now unable to work at his job as a self-employed contractor. Jim is married and has a large family, including 6 young children still living at home. Two of Jim’s adult children and their families are from Rogers and are parishioners at Mary, Queen of Peace Parish in Rogers. With medical bills and other expenses mounting, your attendance and support would be greatly appreciated by the LaFond family. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Jim LaFond family.
