The Nowthen Threshing Show is a chance for individuals young and old to experience a blast from the past with some hands-on experiences.

The annual event runs Aug. 18-20 at 7415 Old Viking Blvd. Events typically take place 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Thousands of people attend to see the tractor pulling, blacksmithing, grain threshing, saw mills, oxen plowing and more.

The Parade of Power goes down on Main Street each afternoon at 2 p.m. The parade features antique and classic trucks, tractors and other vehicles. There will also be plenty of food vendors all weekend long. The event also brings bands such as the Blue Drifters and Just Rite to the stage.

Tickets will be sold at the gate. Daily passes go for $10 and weekend passes go for $20. Children 12 and under get in free but must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is free.
