A motorcyclist escaped serious injury on July 19 after dumping his bike while riding northbound on Proctor Avenue and turning to go north on Elk Lake Road (County Road 77).
He was almost hit a by a motorist who had been waved on by another driver on the road. Neither motorist, however, accounted for the motorcyclist coming until it was too late.
The motorcyclist advised he locked up his brakes and slid off the motorcycle as he attempted to slow. The bike apparently continued (without the rider in his seat) and struck a pizza delivery car in the back, ripping off the back bumper.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries. The pizza delivery driver was not injured.
