Cornerstone Auto and The Bank of Elk River are the winners of the city of Elk River’s first beautification awards.
Cornerstone Auto has spent years improving and upgrading the look of its property along a major transportation corridor running through Elk River. Thousands of people drive past the site on a weekly basis and Cornerstone has taken full advantage of the opportunity to create a positive impression of Elk River with a recently completed expansion and remodel, according to Colleen Eddy, economic development specialist with the city.
The Bank of Elk River has always presented a well-kept, attractive exterior appearance at the highly visible, prime location at the entrance of downtown, Eddy said. Pride in their business shows on the outside, and sets the bar very high for other businesses in the area to follow, she said.
