On Saturday, June 24, Cretex employees and their families brought their 100th anniversary celebrations to Bailey Point. Cretex coordinated with the city of Elk River to plant 25 varieties of native flowers. Preparation for this community project began last fall as the land was processed, tilled and weeded. Then 3,500 holes were drilled and filled with plants by about 50 people of all ages this past weekend. The festivities at Bailey Point also included rides on a vintage Model T car, drone flying, bubble blowing and a picnic lunch.
