Angeline Louise Bodeker

Angeline Bodeker, age 81 of Aitkin died June 14, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
She was born October 25, 1935 in Graham to Richard and Myrtle (Hafner) Bartel. She graduated from Crosby–Ironton High School. Angeline was united in marriage to Douglas F. Banks, Sr. on April 27, 1957 in Crosby. Douglas died in 1973. Angeline was united in marriage to Eugene “Bud” E. Bodeker on March 6, 1976 in Aitkin. She worked as a bookkeeper at Aitkin Feed Store and at Hyytinen Hardware Hank in Aitkin. She was a homemaker and mother.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Douglas F. Banks, Sr. on November 19, 1973; her second husband Eugene “Bud” Bodeker on November 6, 2001; two brothers, Bobby Bartel and Dick Bartel; and her parents: Richard and Myrtle (Hafner) Bartel.
Angeline is survived by five children: Douglas (Bonnie) Banks of Pillager, Mark (Janice) Banks of Villard, Tammy Banks (Jeff Hagen) of Elk River, Steven (Trudy) Banks of Minneota, Lynn (Greg) Mattice of Nowthen, 10 grandchildren: Kyle Banks, Klaire Banks, Jordan Keith, Douglas (Nichelle) Banks, Jared (Stacy)Green, Jessica Nelson, Adam Shipman, Kimberly Shipman, Megan Mattice and Taylor Mattice, five great-grandchildren: Hayden and McKenzie Banks, Haily, Paige, and Sutter Green, nine brothers and sisters: Vonnie Sanvig, Jimmy Bartel, David Bartel, Donna Bartel, Otto Bartel, Mel Bartel, Tiny Judd, Joyce Bartel and Janet Morin.
Services will be 11 a.m. – Mon. June 19, 2017 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Burial will be in Bennettville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m, Sunday at the funeral home and will continue one hour prior to the service.
