Patsy Jean Pawlak

Patsy Jean Pawlak, age 73, of Twin Valley, MN, formerly Dayton, MN, passed away on June 11th, 2017 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND due to complications related to pneumonia.
Patsy was born March 4th, 1944 in Ada, MN to parents Vincent and Jeanette Vigesaa. She grew up and attended school in Twin Valley.
She met the love of her life in her teenage years and married Floyd Pawlak on April 15th, 1961. Dad made sure he’d never forget their anniversary by marrying Mom on what he called the worst day of the year “tax day”. They started their life together on a dairy farm in Ogema, MN.
Together they had five children Tammy (Jim) Courtright of Twin Valley, MN; Debbie (Perry) Galvan of Otsego, MN; Sue (Mike) Harff of Dayton, MN; Dan (Corene) Pawlak of Dayton, MN; Steve (Kristi) Pawlak of Rogers, MN; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister Kathy (Dan) Bredman of Ada, MN; in-laws, Paul (Pam) Pawlak, Judy Dalve, Jan (Issy) Schmeising, Bob (Lea) Pawlak, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and strangers that she adopted as close family.
After leaving the farm and venturing to the Twin Cities, she was a stay at home mom and did daycare. Many the day did we enjoy homemade baked goods and canned fruits. Later she went to work at various jobs before going into a career at Medtronic’s Inc, manufacturing pacemakers. When her health began to fail she was forced to quit Medtronics and went to work at P&F Machining Inc, the precision machining company her and Dad founded in 1983.
Mom was very active in her church and enjoyed donating to various charities. Those who knew Mom, knew she was a very giving person. In addition to spending time with her family, she loved decorating for Christmas, collecting dolls and diamonds, reading, watching classic movies, playing solitaire on her I-pad, and playing Hand and Foot (her way, not little sister Kathy’s way) and spending time at their winter home in Florida. Next to her family her true love was shopping. A dent in the economy will be felt.
Mom lost the love of her life on December 23, 2011. Due to continued failing health Mom entered the Twin Valley Living Center in October of 2013 where she spent her remaining years.
She was preceded in death by husband, Floyd; parents, Vincent and Jeanette; sister, Beverly and brothers, Larry and Jimmy.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, June 19, 2017, 11 a.m. St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 18380 Columbus St. Dayton, MN.
