Sheriff Brott to speak at annual Scout Breakfast

Boy Scouts have been in the United States since 1910. The movement was founded by Lord Baden Powell in England after he saw a need to provide direction in a boy’s life.

Today, that need is greater than ever.

The Central Minnesota Council of the Boy Scouts of America is sponsoring the 14th annual Elk River Boy Scout Leadership Breakfast April 27. The event is at the Elk River American Legion, serving egg bake at 7 a.m.

The public is invited to attend. We want to share how the Boy Scouts are paying attention to the future leadership of our great nation. Our speaker will be Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott. He will share stories about boys on both sides of the bars. — Jim Acers, Elk River (Editor’s note: For further information, contact Jim at 441-6818.)
