A 65-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for DWI in the 9800 block of Highway 10 in Elk River shortly before midnight March 25.
He was allegedly impaired due to alcohol and prescription drugs and was arrested for DWI and driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety. Prior to being admitted to jail, he needed to be cleared by medical staff due to gross inebriation. The man became agitated, belligerent and somewhat combative and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids after being sedated, according to the police report.
After incident, man arrested for DWI
An Elk River man, 29, was arrested for DWI after reportedly coming close to hitting someone with his vehicle.
Police were alerted to the motorist at 4:16 p.m. March 26 after being flagged down by a man who reported that a Nissan almost hit him in the rear parking lot of Cub Foods.
The driver was contacted and determined to be under the influence of alcohol, and arrested for DWI.
Teen: No harm was intended to horses
Police looked into a report of a boy who allegedly threatened to shoot a girl’s horses in Big Lake Township, after their school contacted police about the matter on March 24.
Police spoke to the 17-year-old Ramsey boy accused of making the threat. He said he made the statement, but had no intention of harming any horses, according to the police report.
