A part-time community service officer was hired by the Elk River City Council March 6.
Effective March 7, Christina Bolduc joined the ranks, replacing Robert Pullar, who accepted a full-time police officer position with the city of Ramsey.
The part-time community officer position is intended to last two years with a possible extension of one year, depending on the employee’s education track, according to city documents. Bolduc previously worked as a reserve officer with the Elk River Police Department. She received recognition from the department for volunteering 354 hours to the reserve unit in 2016 and continued to lead the unit in volunteer hours in 2017.
Bolduc has an associate degree in law enforcement and plans to obtain a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
