An accident about 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, on Highway 169 in Zimmerman backed up traffic and left people wondering if anyone died.
Joshua Holcombe, a 32-year-old Zimmerman man, was turning onto Highway 169 in his 1997 Freightliner tractor from Sherburne County Road 19 to go southbound when he was rear-ended by a 1999 Ford pickup being driven by Austin Mclellan, a 27-year-old Zimmerman man.
Holcombe, who was hauling a Timpte semitrailer, suffered no apparent injuries.
Mclellan was hurt, but none of his injuries were considered life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the accident scene. Southbound traffic reportedly backed up for miles while emergency personnel dealt with the people and vehicles involved.
