Princeton man injured in Zimmerman crash

A Princeton man was injured in two-vehicle crash Thursday, Aug. 8 at the intersection of Highway 169 and Freemont Avenue in Zimmerman.

Driver Jonathon Steinhart, 27, Princeton, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, which was reported at about 9:30 a.m. on August 8. He was transported to Fairview Northland Medical Center. A second driver, Norma L. Larson, 57, Zimmerman, suffered no injuries.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol: Steinhart was northbound on Highway 169 in a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer when he hit Larson’s 2013 Dodge Avenger, which was traveling westbound on Freemont Avenue, which is also marked as Sherburne County Road 4. Steinhart hit Larson in the intersection, according to the State Patrol.

Steinhart’s vehicle was totaled as a result of the crash. Larson’s vehicle sustained severe damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, according to the State Patrol.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
