A semi hauling a fuel tanker in the rain this morning jack knifed along Highway 101 in Otsego.
The driver of the semi was traveling southbound shortly before 9 a.m. on Nov. 17 on a slight left turn when he hit the brakes, causing the cab of his truck and the tanker to jack knife and slide into the median, according to Sgt. Jesse Grabow of the Minnesota State Patrol.
The tanker lost close to 150 gallons of fuel that the Minnesota Department of Transportation was called out to clean up,” Grabow reported.
Russell Hebert, a 29-year-old Mustcatine, Iowa man, was cited for “failure to use due care.”
