Kevin "Reddog" James Mathison passed away on June 20, 2015 from cancer.
Survived by his wife, Candy; children, Josh and Tami; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kaurin, Kiara, Josie, Josh, Reuben, Sam, Octavius, Takota, and Ryder; brothers and sisters, Ron, Karen, Russ (Lora), Rick (Connie), Kurt (Sharon), Kathy (Joel), and Keith; and many nieces and nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by both his mother, Ann, and father, Reuben.
Kevin loved his family and his motorcycle. He enjoyed day trips and vacations with his wife on the bike. The passing of Kevin leaves a hole in his family that can never be filled and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Kevin grew up in Orrock and was a graduate of Big Lake High School. He was an employee at Hoffman Engineering for 39 years. Retirement was only a year away.
A memorial to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at the Zimmerman Legion July 11th from 12-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers and for those wishing to contribute monetarily, a memorial fund in Kevin's name has been opened at the Bank of Elk River in Zimmerman, MN.
