Beloved Son, Brother and Friend

Athanasios (Thanasi) Panagiotis Frentzos, age 31, passed away September 29, 2014 at his home in Minneapolis, MN.

Thanasi was born on March 8, 1983 in Delnor Hospital in St. Charles, IL and spent his early years growing up in Wheaton, IL. When he was 10 he moved to Stillwater, MN and lived there for a few years until his mom remarried and moved to Elk River, MN.

Thanasi had a wide variety of interests from astronomy and quantum physics to a deep love of music. He showed creative talent in sound mixing and was largely self-taught. He got a degree in audio production from the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis and was studying physics and mathematics at Anoka Ramsey Community College in the Twin Cities aspiring to be a scientist on completion of his studies.

Thanasi was a young man that was deeply loved by his family both near and far. He always had a kind word to say or a joke at hand. He was a very sensitive soul with much to offer the world. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents Patty (Redgie) Kreuser of Elk River, MN and Panos Frentzos of Geneva, IL; two brothers Theodoris “Theo” Panagiotis Frentzos of Elk River, MN and Michael Frentzos of Winfield, IL; his step-sister Heather (Bryon) Glem of Ogilvie, MN; his grandparents Tom (Evelyne) Frentzos of W. Chicago, IL and Eugene Kreuser of Otsego, MN.

Also survived by his aunts and uncles; Bonnie (Bob) Bernardi, Jim (Mary) Whitmer, Jerry (Jaye) Whitmer, Alexandra (John) Schroeder and Dimitri (Karla) Frentzos as well as 14 cousins, Cindy, Sandra, Rick, Steve, Jason, Anson, Carolyn, Christopher, Diana, John Jr., Ryan, Marissa, Hunter and Brogan.

He was preceded in death by his sister Anastasia Dawn Frentzos, cousin Jeremiah Whitmer and his grandparents Richard (Carolyn) Whitmer and Delaine Kreuser.

Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1506 Main St. NW, Elk River, MN. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment at Otsego Cemetery, Otsego, MN. Memorials preferred.
