The City of Elk River is undertaking a planning study of the existing gravel mining area located in northern Elk River along the Highway 169 corridor.
The study is intended to address land use and infrastructure needs upon completion of mining operations.
The city is looking for input. There are two ways to get involved.

•The city will host a community visioning session for the area at 7 p.m. Aug. 26, at Elk River City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway.
