William (Billy) Woodred Palmer

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
William (Billy) W. Palmer, age 73 of Elk River, formerly of S. Mpls., passed away peacefully on July 8, 2014.
Graduate of Bagley High School Class of 1959.
Preceded in death by his parents Jessee and Marie, first wife June, brother Jessee Palmer and father Art Michel.
Survived by his loving wife Marge; children with his first wife June, LeAnn (Brian) Wulff, Michel Palmer, Lori Palmer; Marges children, Kevin (Dorothy) Kriesel, Kim (Micheal) Campagna and Kari Altema. Grandfather of: Kyle and April Wulff, Kelsey, Shelby and Kasey Palmer, Jessica and Karlie Palmer, Sarah (Paul) Felicano, Amanda and Melissa Kriesel, Kelly, Michael and Theresa Campagna, Ryan and Christopher Altema. Great-grandfather of Preston Palmer and one on the way. Also survived by his brothers James Michel and Sidney (Cheri) Michel; sister-in-law Fran Palmer.
35 year employee at the Ford Motor Co., Twin Cities Assembly Plant where he acquired the nickname Pinecone.
He loved cruising in his 1959 Edsel Convertible. He wintered in Brenda, AZ and loved driving in the desert in his dune buggy.
He was proud to have celebrated 38 years of sobriety.
Funeral service 12 noon Sat., July 12, 2014 at Dares Funeral Home, 805 Main St. NW, Elk River, 763-441-1212.
Visitation 4-8 PM Friday at Dares Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Interment Otsego Cemetery.
