Elk River’s Morgan Bleyhl moved up five places with an 82 on the final day of the state golf tournament and finished tied for 36th place.

Bleyhl assembled a pair of 41′s Wednesday at Bunker Hills, following her 42-44-86 on Tuesday that left her tied for 41st among 88 state qualifiers.

Fellow Elk sophomore Alexa Filipiak shot her second straight 95 and finished 70th with 190.

“The second day was better,” said Bleyhl. “I putted better and hit more greens. The first day, I didn’t really feel nervous but I was nine over a after five holes.”

Bleyhl and Filipiak each have two more years. Bleyhl noted, *There were a lot of seniors in the top 30.*

They were the only state qualifiers, boy or girl, from District 728 this year.

Kenzie Neisen of New Prague was individual champion with 67-68-135.

Wayzata was team champion with 622, followed by Alexandria with 641 and Edina 650.
