Elk River pitcher Anna Pipenhagen and catcher Michaela Bruns were both named to the coaches association all-state team.
Pipenhagen had a 12-4 record and 1.63 ERA this year while hitting .448 with three homers, six doubles, a triple and 22 RBI’s.
Bruns, a five-year starter, batted .425 with three homers, seven doubles, one triple, and 19 RBI’s, while committing no errors and making 14 assists.
Both were named to the Class AAA first team. The coaches selected 15 first-team and 15 second-team players in each of three classes.
Both had previously been named, along with first baseman Courtney Jensen, to play in the coaches all-star game series Saturday and Sunday at North Mankato. All are seniors.
