The Rogers Royals placed fifth among 10 teams in the full Mississippi 8 Conference meet Thursday at Links at Northfork.
Buffalo won with 298, followed by Cambridge-Isanti 319, St. Michael-Albertville 324, St. Francis 324, Rogers 324, North Branch 330, Chisago Lakes 344, Monticello 344, Big Lake 348, and Princeton 392. Ties are broken by the fifth score.
Josh Fishman of Buffalo was medalist with 71, followed by STMA’s Carson Wooters with 73 and Buffalo’s Ben Zitur with 75.
Rogers was led by Dylan Kline in eight place with 77. Cruz Martinez was 14th with 80, Luke Bunkers 17th with 82 and Brady Groenwold with 85. There were 104 players.
Final conference meet
The conference season ended with a rescheduled Mississippi 8 West meet on Friday at Riverwood National.
Buffalo won with 302, followed by STMA 316 and Rogers 332 among five teams. Buffalo’s Gunner Goodmanson was low with a 72.
Sam Suedbeck led Rogers with 82. He had two birdies and made some solid shots out of the bunker,. Dylan Kline and Luke Bunkers shot 83 and Taylor Fischer-84.
The Royals will start Section 5AAA, which they’ve won four straight years, on Wednesday at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.
