Lacrosse: ERZ girls edge Blaine 14-12

Alleah Balzer led with six goals as Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman edged the Blaine Bengals 14-12 on Wednesday in Blaine.

Alexandra Gallus, Michelle Klimstra, Katelyn Gfroerer and Aliz Zierden added two goals each and Cassie Conrad made 21 saves.

This was the third of four games in four days for the Elks (6-6), who’ll cap off that grueling stretch at Anoka on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to close the regular season. Sectionals start Tuesday.
