Rogers bands, choirs entertain with “Stage and Screen” closing concert

The Rogers High School bands and choirs presented their spring Pops Concert “Stage and Screen” on Monday evening at Zabee Theatre in Elk River.

“This concert signifies the culmination of a full year of very hard work and dedication by our fine young musicians,” said Christopher Moore, band director. “I am truly impressed by the tremendous improvement an musicianship shown tonight and throughout the year.”

Three band scholarship winners were announced: Olivia Anton (French Horn), Wyatt Martin (percussion) and Hannah Meseck (trombone).

“I am so proud of the progress the choir students have made throughout this past year,” said Nikki Jo Zeleny, vocal music director. “Musically, they have worked very hard and it showed in their outstanding performance.”

Three senior choral awards were presented, to Alexa Gerber, Trent Wyman, and Kirsten Segulia.
