Lacrosse: ERZ girls beat Centennial 20-3, lose to Wayzata

Elk River-Rogers-Zimmerman scored 32 goals in two games and came away with a split the last two evenings.

ERZ won 20-3 over Centennial on Monday with 11 players scoring at home. Alex Zierden had six goals, Alleah Balzer three, and Alexandra Gallus and Raelyn Korinek two each. Notching a goal apiece were Kelsey Baker, Jaila Cappelli, Michelle Klimstra, Katelyn Gfroerer, Courtney Reistad, Meghan Risting, and Reilly Springman.

Wayzata outscored the Elks 19-12 on Tuesday in Wayzata. Balzer and Zierden notched four goals each, Gfroerer three, and Klimstra one. Cassie Conrad and Emma Dalton shared net duties.

The Elks (5-6) are playing four straight evenings in the final week of the regular season, two of them postponed games. They will play at Blaine on Wednesday and at Anoka on Thursday.
