Softball: Sting lose to SW Christian 7-6 in 12th

The Spectrum Sting lost to Southwest Christian 7-6 in 12 innings at home Saturday morning. Meghan Schroeder pitched all 12 innings, striking out 13, giving up seven runs (four earned). Coach Rob Rogers said the Sting defense was very solid with infielder Ellie Rogers throwing out eight batters, and Leah Dehn making several nice catches in the outfield. Punching two hits each were Elizabeth Hackbarth, Haily Wallace, Leah Dehn and Micah Pachl. Next for Spectrum (5-4) is a home game Monday against North Lakes Academy.
