Trinity at River Ridge and their ace left-hander Jon Lotti handed the Spectrum Sting an 8-3 loss on Saturday in Eagan. Spectrum coach Kurt Remick said that his team did well to score three runs off Lotti, who entered the game with 24 innings pitched, 39 strikeouts, zero walks and only nine hits and four runs allowed. Lotti also hit a two-run homer. The Sting led 3-2 until the last of the fifth.
Austin Kurilla was 3-for-3 with triple, Luke Nolden 2-for-4 with a double and a steal, and Connor Hansen 1-for-3 with two RBI. John Brand pitched 3 1/3 innings (three runs, two earned, four strikeouts), Nolden 1 1/3 (two runs), and Ryan Pribnow 1 1/3 (three unearned runs).
The Sting (3-5) will play at PACT in Ramsey on Monday.
