RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals for the work described below will be received by the City Engineer at Elk River City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway, Elk River, MN 55330 until 2:00 p.m., June 5, 2014 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Construction of wastewater treatment facility improvements including: construction of a new aeration basin and associated process equipment; construction of new RAS/WAS building; new operations building with office and garage space; installation of new covers and drive motor on three existing final clarifiers; conversion of existing anaerobic digesters to aerobic digesters and work on the existing biosolids storage tanks; conversion of existing control building to a chemical feed building with chemical feed equipment for the sand filters; new biosolids process building, including installation of biosolids dewatering equipment, blowers and electrical panels; demolition of existing control building and garages, trickling filters and miscellaneous structures and site piping; installation of site piping, electrical gear, instrumentation and controls, and emergency generator; yard preparation, site preparation, finish grading, seeding, site work, roadway and other improvements as indicated on the drawings.
