It was produced by John Wright of the “Lehto and Wright” celtic duo, and features drummer Billy Thommes (who’s played with Johnny Lange), Joe Savage, Danny Neale, Lisi Wright and Toby Marshall.

Shaheen describes the music as: “Songs, stories, and rock and roll aphorisms that can make a wooden leg dance, and bring a tear to a glass eye — my apologies if you happen to have either one.”

Shaheen and his daughter Becky will play at Rockwoods in Otsego on May 22. They will be accompanied by Savage, a pedal steel player who’s been a guest on Prairie Home Companion and, with Midwest Country Theatre Nad, has performed with many renowned country stars including Hank Thompson and Wanda Jackson.
