Track: Royal boys, girls each place 8th in true-team section

The Rogers girls and boys each placed eighth among nine teams in the Section 4AAA true-team track meet Tuesday in Elk River.

Michaela Taddeini had Rogers’ top finish. The sophomore placed second in triple jump with 33-3.

Jacqueline Lindfors placed fourth in both the 1600 (5:35.63) and 3200 (12:14.54). Alyssa Walton placed fourth in pole vault (8-0).

Heather Kilber was fifth in 100 hurdles (17.55) and eighth in the 300 (49.44). Morgan Sagehorn was seventh in triple jump (34-4). Erica Folk was ninth in the 200 (27.71) and Hannah Sjerven ninth in shot put (94-10).

High-jumper Mitchell Bracket had the boys top finish, fifth with a 5-10 leap. Placing sixth and seventh in the 3200 were Reed Parent (10:19.31) and Caleb Burke (10:30.23). The Rogers boys placed fifth in the 4-by-800.

The Andover boys won with 898, followed by Osseo 784.5, Anoka 770, Champlin Park 762, Maple Grove 643.5, Coon Rapids 628.5, Elk River 545.5, Rogers 499.5, and Park Center 421.5.

The Anoka girls won with 876, followed by Elk River 816, Coon Rapids 740, Maple Grove 716, Champlin Park 711.5, Andover 662, Osseo 526, Rogers 518, and Park Center 436.5.
