On its third try, the Spectrum baseball team nabbed its first win on its new home field and took the Sting to about three hours to nail it down by the slow-pitch softball score of 20-19 over Cambridge Christian on Tuesday.
Each team had 17 hits and numerous errors.
Tristen Rosby led the Sting (3-4) at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a double, three runs, four runs-batted-in, and two stole bases. Austin Kurilla was 3-for-4 (rwo doubles, four runs, RBI). Thomas Ogren was 3-for-4 (double, three runs, three RBI). Christian Rieck and Connor Hansen had two hits each. Luke Nolden walked three times, stole four bases, and scored three runs.
Ryan Pribnow started and finished the game, getting the save, allowing six runs in four innings. Throwing an inning each were Ogren (four runs), Rieck and Kurilla.
The Sting lost to Southwest Christian 13-3 on Monday in Chaska. Nolden was 2-for-3 with an RBI. John Brand took the loss, allowing 12 runs (three earned) in 1 1/3 inning. Ogren and Kurilla finished.
