Five Zimmerman students earned all-conference honors at the Granite Ridge Conference Art show on April 25 in Albany.
Delaney Gorecki, a senior, had two second-place entrants, in Crafts and Sculpture. Earning first-places were senior Maddie Jacob in Ceramics and junior Kassidy Laxdal in Drawing. Earning second-places were senior Camilla Johansson and junior Kaitlin Ianoco in Drawing.
Also presented were Superior (11-13 rating) awards to Gorecki, Jacob, Iacono, Johannson, Laxdal, and sophomore Summer Spence-Decker (crafts/jewelry), and Excellence (9-10 rating) to senior Mitch Winge (crafts/jewelry), junior Julia Ward (drawing), sophomore Amanda Peterson (drawing) and freshmen Madelyn Drew (drawing) and Luke Loso (crafts/jewelry).
“Our students once again represented our art program well,” stated Tina Kryduba, art teacher.
These students work, and others, will be on display at the annual Zimmerman High School Art Show on Wednesday, May 14, at the media center, 5 to 9 p.m.
