Army chaplain will speak at dinner

U.S. Army chaplain, Maj. Philip Winn, will be the guest speaker at Elk River’s Beyond the Yellow Ribbon military families dinner on Monday, March 17.

The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Elk River.

Winn serves as the state of Minnesota full-time support chaplain with the Minnesota National Guard. He has served multiple active duty deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

A native of Minneapolis, Winn earned a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University, St. Paul, and a Master of Arts in theological studies from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul.

The dinner is open to all current military members, their families and former veteran members of the armed forces. RSVP by March 13 to 763-441-1483.
