Swimming: Elk diver Bronshteyn places 6th at state

Elk River diver Andrew Bronshteyn placed sixth in the state Class AA meet Saturday evening, earning a medal for the second straight year.

Bronshteyhn, a junior who placed fifth last year, was third after Thursday’s two rounds, and slipped three notched with a final score of 392.85, at the University of Minnesota.

The five divers ahead of him were all seniors.

Repeating as champion was Rosemount’s Daniel Monaghan with 439.25.
