SOAR Regional Arts is presenting “Beauty and the Beast” this week — Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m.,    Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., at St. Michael Middle School West.

Lead roles include Sydney Segelstrom of Rogers as Belle, Michael Wegter of Buffalo as the Beast, and Tate Kindom of Albertville as Gaston.

The cast has more than 100 student actors, age five to 18, from St. Michael, Albertville, Rogers and Otsego.

The 90-minute version of the Broadway production has wacky villagers, enchanted furniture, and dancing flatware performing such popular songs as “Belle,” “Gaston,” “Be Our Guest,” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
The brainy heroine, Belle, transforms the heart of the menacing beast in this beloved fairy tale about very different people finding strength in one another and learning how to love, states a press release from SOAR.

St. Michael Middle School West is located at 11343 50th St NE in Albertville.
