Basketball: Sting girls beat North Lakes, Trinity; streak at 11

The Spectrum Sting girls extended their streak to 11 games with wins of 55-20 over North Lakes Academy at the Target Center on Monday evening an 62-48 over Trinity at River Ridge in Blaine on Tuesday evening.
Against NLA, Noelle Diekman notched 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kassidi Robbins scored 10, Rachael Goldsmith 10, Rachel Stevenson 10, Brynn Bozich 5, Megan McCarty 2, Maria Novotny 2, Katlynn Bozich 2, and Macie Burns 1.

Stevenson led the win over Trinity with 24 points including three 3-pointers. Diekman added 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Kaitlyn Bozich 9 points and 5 rebounds, and Brynn Bozich 8 points and 9 assists. The Sting used pressure defense and good ball movement to take a 30-16 halftime lead.

The Sting (17-5) will play at St. Croix Prep on Friday.
