Elk River boys hockey is seeded No. 2 in Section 7AA and will host No. 7 Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (8-14-2) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Duluth East (18-6-1), which lost to the Elks 3-2 in December, is the top seed. The Greyhounds have won Section 7AA five straight years.
Duluth East will host St. Francis or Cambridge-Isanti on Tuesday in the top bracket while No. 4 Grand Rapids (17-8) hosts No. 5 Forest Lake (15-6-4).
The other game in Elk River’s bracket is No. 3 Andover (17-8) hosting No. 6 St. Michael-Albertville (13-11-1).
Semifinals will be held Saturday at Amsoil Arena in Duluth at noon and 2 p.m., with finals on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the same site.
