In the rematch, the Crimson held the 6-foot-2 center to 17 and the Elk offense never got going.

Maple Grove (10-6 NWSC, 14-8 overall) made eight 3-pointers, six in the first half in taking a 34-26 lead.

Guards led the Crimson as Haylee Barker scored 13 points, Mackenzie Barta 11 and Kaela Jones nine. The Crimson made 15 of 19 free shots.

Scheid, with the Crimson collapsing on her, was limited to three close-range field goals. She did make a 3-pointer and 8-for-8 free shots.

Next-high for the Elks (5-12 NWSC, 8-13 overall) were Jayme Langbehn and Shelby Gracik with six each. The Elks were 11-for-13 at the line and made three 3-pointers.

The Elks will host Osseo on Tuesday.
