The Zimmerman Thunder defeated Hibbing 66-57 in a non-conference game at home Saturday with Kristian Bright and Tyler Theisen leading the way.
The Thunder led 33-31 at the half, got a cushion when Theisen sank back-to-back 3-pointers from the corner, and held the lead. Theisen scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half.
Bright had 22 points, 11 in each half, so the senior duo had 25 of the team’s 33 in the second half and all their field goals.
Noah Lunning added 13 for the Thunder (8-10).
Hibbing dropped to 9-9 with five straight losses.
The Thunder will host Milaca on Friday.
