Theatre: Zimmerman’s one-act entry deals with loss, anguish

Zimmerman High School will enter the one-act play competition with “Of Winners, Losers and Games,” announced director Jon Paleshewski.
“This is a drama about life, where a husband and wife play out a tragic scene against a background of fantasy,” said Paleshewski about the plot penned by O.B. Rozell.
They will debut at the Granite Ridge Conference meet in Mora today, Saturday,, and will present it to the public (free admission) Tuesday, 7 p.m., at ZHS. Subsection will be held at Duluth East on Saturday, Jan. 25. The top two advance to sectionals.
Seniors Carly Nelson and Vince Snyder play Winner and Loser, respectively.
The cast also includes Aiden Estridge, Alexis Larson, Heather Nagengast, Deanna Schultz, Andrea Ruether, Philene Berneis, Cassy Boucher, Trista Miller, Parker Sturlaugson, Marissa Luing, Alexa Muylaert, and Chase Laxdal.
