Basketball: Royal boys rout Princeton 92-53

The Rogers Royals were clicking on both ends of the court as they defeated the Princeton Tigers 92-53 on Friday evening in Princeton.

The Royals (2-2 conference, 6-8 overall) had their first game in the 90’s after scoring in the 80’s four times. And they held Princeton 26 points below their average. The Tigers are 0-5 in conference and 4-9 overall but were averaging just under 79 points.

Coby Stow netted 17 points, Gunnar Bloom 15, Joey Simpson 14, Steffan Mosoke 14, and Allen Wilson 11 for the Royals. Bloom, junior guard, also notched 6 assists, 6 steals and 7 rebounds.

Princeton standout Jack Sinkel, who’s been averaging close to 30 points, was held to five.

Rogers will host Big Lake on Tuesday.
