Basketball: Becker snaps Zimmerman girls win streak 47-40

The Becker Bulldogs outlasted Zimmerman 47-40 Thursday evening, snapping a three-game win streak by the Thunder, in Becker.

The Bulldogs (4-1 conference, 6-4 overall) scored layups after stealing passes several times. They had very balanced scoring with six players notching six to nine points. Amanda Lindsay and Maysen Theisen led with nine each.

Lexi Funaro scored 12 points on penetrations for the Thunder. Brooke Borchardt was next with six points as the Thunder struggled with field goal shooting.

Zimmerman fell to 3-2 in the Granite Ridge and 8-6 overall. Next game is St. Cloud Cathedral at home Friday, Jan. 25.
