Basketball: Princeton boys hit 16 three’s in 95-74 rout of Thunder

The Princeton Tigers, torrid from long range, pummeled the Zimmerman Thunder 95-74 on Thursday evening in Zimmerman.

The Tigers (4-5) made 16 shots from 3-point range, eight of them by Jack Sinkel, who totaled 36 points.

Princeton, which lost to the Thunder 88-86 on Nov. 26, started the game with three long 3-pointers and stayed hot. At times they passed up open drives to the hoop and instead kicked it out to 3-point shooters.

Zimmerman, down 43-27 at the half, played the almost Tigers even in the second half.

Kristian Bright led the Thunder (6-7) with 21 points.  Tyler Theisen added 14, David Molinari 14, and Max McNulty 13.
The Thunder will host St. Cloud Apollo on Monday.
