Basketball: Royal boys beat Duluth East 71-59

The Rogers Royals salvaged one win in the Tartan Holiday Tournament, defeating Duluth East 71-59 on Monday the seventh-place game.
Cole Murray led the Royals with 21 points, eight rebounds and two blocks. The 6-9 junior made the all-tournament team, logging 68 points in three games.
Allen Wilson added 13 points and three steals, and Gunnar Bloom 12 points and five assists.
The Royals (4-6) snapped a five-game skid, including losses to Forest Lake and Centennial at the Tartan tournament.
Chaz McBeath scored 23 for Duluth East (0-8).
Rogers will host Delano on Friday.
