Hockey: Rogers boys thump Flyers 8-1

The Rogers Royals bounced back from their first loss with an 8-1 victory over Little Falls at home Thursday evening.

Seven players scored goals for Rogers — Jason Roberge twice, and Travis Brown, Alexander Lorman, Travis Limoseth, Mitchell Motter, John Stanley and Dustin Schoepke.

Roberge also made two assists, as did Spencer Marchand, Limoseth and Nate Weber.

Jack Schulte scored for Little Falls (1-8).

The Royals (6-1-1) were coming off a 3-0 loss to Totino-Grace on Tuesday, also at home.In the nets were Brock Maxwell for Rogers and Ezra Spandle for Little Falls.

The Royals will host longtime Class A power Hermantown on Saturday at 3 p.m., hoping to end a seven-game losing streak to the Hawks.
