Hockey: Halluska, Bison foil Rogers girls 3-0 in duel for lead

Abby Halluska delivered all three goals as the Buffalo Bison beat the Rogers Royals 3-0 in a duel for the conference lead Friday evening in Buffalo.

Buffalo is 6-0 in the Mississippi 8 and Rogers 4-1. Both are 6-3 overall.

All the goals came on special teams as Halluska, a sophomore forward, scored her first and last goals on power plays and the other shorthanded.

Bison goalie Kendra Carlson turned away 24 shots for the shutout. Rogers’ Michelle Klimstra stopped 32 of 35.

Buffalo was 2-for-7 and Rogers 0-for-7 on power plays.

Rogers will play at Alexandria on Saturday, 2:45 p.m.
