Hockey: Royal girls beat Saints 3-1, are 4-0 in conference

The Rogers girls stayed unbeaten in conference with 3-1 win over St. Francis/North Branch at home Tuesday evening.

Paetyn Levis and Madison Lehn gave the Royals a 2-0 lead in the first period, with Gabrielle Billing assisting on both goals, and Levis also assisting on Lehn’s.

Dakota Lyman got the Saints on the board at 6:12 of the third period. The Royals, outshot 26-22 in the game, held their one-goal lead and got an empty-netter from Lehn with one second left.

Michelle Klimstra made 25 saves for Rogers and Kendra Barck had 19 for the Saints.

The Royals are 4-0 in the Mississippi 8 and 6-2 overall. The Saints are 0-3 and 0-5.

Rogers will play at Buffalo on Friday evening.
