There are plans for tree lighting ceremonies in Zimmerman at the corner of Second Street and Freemont Avenue and Rivers Edge Commons Park in Downtown Elk River. Santa will arrive on a fire truck for Zimmerman's lighting. The Land of Lakes Choirboys will be caroling in downtown Elk River and Elk River Mayor John Dietz will flick the switch to turn on the lights. For a rundown of holiday happenings see the Star News' Nov. 30 report here.
